Biography
Mijoo was born into the Lee family as their second and last daughter. Her mother would never tell anyone, but a tiny part of her had been silently hoping that Mijoo would be a son, since they already had Yeongjoo, her older sister. However, she fell in love with Mijoo at first sight, who surprisingly did not cry upon her delivery. The doctors were sure that her airways were clear of any fluids, and were perplexed as to why the wrinkly newborn stayed so silent. Just then, Mijoo blinked once, twice, before opening her mouth and letting out the loudest cry the nurses claimed they had ever heard that year ("And she never shut up ever since," her dad always added jokingly).

Growing up in her modest house in Okcheon County was one of the best memories Mijoo would ever had in her life, not that she could've known it back then. Her father worked late nights, and her mother would do occasional cleaning and cooking jobs for the extra cash, but they had a comfortable life. Her older sister was her only playmate, and Mijoo followed her everywhere, despite the older girl's growing annoyance as they advanced into their teen years. Yeongjoo had the upper hand in terms of academics, but Mijoo had confidence in her street smarts. Her parents always compared their grades, but Mijoo was rarely affected. She liked to believe that she was a rebel for being a firm believer in not succumbing to the "cruel education system", though the worst thing she'd ever done was skip school for a few afternoons of fun with her friends.

When her sister finally left for her university in Seoul, Mijoo was crushed. Phone calls and letters could only do so much to make up for the distance, and she found herself missing Yeongjoo more than she'd expected she would. This was the catalyst for her decision to follow in her sister's footsteps and study at Seoul National University after her high school graduation. She poured her attention and energy into her studies, but made sure to play as hard too - after all, it's hard to change a leopard's stripes.

Her parents made her apply for all three of the SKY universities, and it was a good thing she did, before Mijoo eventually failed to make it to Seoul National. Korea and Yonsei welcomed her, however, and after a full day of perusing the SNS accounts of both schools' students, she made her choice.
Personality/Facts

Mijoo is nothing if not passionate. For her, it's all or nothing, 100% or bust. It takes a lot to get her excited, but once she does there's not stopping her. Her areas of interests tend to vary; only a few things manage to sustain her attention and make it last. So far, she's been through a guitar phase, an inline-skating phase, a baking phase and a rather embarrassing knitting phase that she tries her best not to remember.

Some people call her hot-headed, but she tries her best to keep a handle on her temper. She tends to be a maker of bad decisions because of her rash behaviour, but she is definitely not someone who regrets them. "Life is a basically wild adventure with lots of lessons to be learnt along the way, isn't it?"

Mijoo is confident, sometimes to the point of slight narcissism, and she hates to lose. However, she is also quick to admit her mistake (confidently) if she finds out that she is in the wrong. Her straightforwardness is a double-edged sword. It is sometimes seen as insolence by her teachers, and yet she has had people telling her that her honesty is refreshing. Honestly, Mijoo does try to control her tongue and keep away from trouble, but there is only so much one can do when your friend asks for an opinion about her new, very ugly, dress.

◦ Prefers gore over horror movies - is absolutely afraid of anything related to ghosts/malevolent spirits.

◦ She wasn't the tallest person in her class, but her height led her high school teacher to encourage her to join the school's Netball team. Mijoo learnt to love the adrenaline that the sport provided her with; it was a good outlet for her bubbling energy, and her competitiveness shone during matches. Becoming the Team Captain was one of the highlights of her high school life, and till this day she still keeps in touch with her team members.

◦ She actually wanted to study Sociology in SNU, but more often than not life doesn't go according to plan. She's grateful that she ended up studying Psychology in Yonsei, however, and has plans to further her studies in this field after graduation. She doesn't broadcast this fact, but she actually chose Psychology because Jean Grey was her favorite X-Men character as a kid, and she's been intrigued by the workings of the human mind ever since.
